Spring is Here
Inspired by the beauty of Palestinian nature and memories of springtime walks among wildflowers, the “Spring Flowers” collection tells the story of an artistic collaboration between Tanya Nasir and Mary Tamari, bringing together the art of drawing and traditional Palestinian embroidery. The story began with Tanya Nasir’s illustrations of flowers, which Mary Tamari transformed into embroidered designs using colorful threads. Through her work, she brought the flowers’ delicate details and natural beauty to life, blending contemporary artistic expression with the authenticity of Palestinian embroidery. More than just a collection of artworks, these pieces tell a story rooted in memory, nature, and heritage. They document the beauty of Palestine’s wildflowers and preserve their delicate details through the traditional art of embroidery, passed down through generations. These are flowers that did not simply bloom in spring; they found their way into threads, allowing them to live on in Palestinian memory and heritage.
