Baraa Jarbou'

Born in 1990, is an embroiderer with the Inaash Al-Usra Society, an organization with which she has shared a lifelong bond. As a child, she would accompany her mother, Iftikar Jarbou’, to the Society, learning the techniques of Palestinian embroidery and the art of blending colors. Growing up with a passion for the craft, Baraa began assisting her mother while still in school; embroidery became a medium for self-expression and a way to preserve her heritage.

Her relationship with the Society has endured over the years, and today she is a distinguished embroiderer, creating artistic embroidered pieces alongside executing traditional patterns for Palestinian *thobes* (dresses). Baraa contributes to the creation of artworks displayed in exhibitions and museums, viewing embroidery not merely as a craft, but as a legacy that embodies both creativity and identity. Furthermore, her work with the Society has provided vital support for her family and helped meet her children's needs, allowing her to continue the journey she began as a child.
