The design is distinguished by the seamless integration of several traditional embroidery patterns into a single balanced composition, creating a unified aesthetic that reflects the diversity and richness of the Palestinian embroidery heritage. A carefully selected color palette accentuates the precision of each stitch and lends the dress an elegant presence, while the dense embroidery adorning the neckline and flowing sleeves enhances its artistic beauty and distinctive character.

This piece is produced by the Embroidery Exhibition of the Inash Al-Usra Society and meticulously handcrafted by the Society’s talented embroiderers, whose skill and dedication continue to preserve and celebrate the enduring art of traditional Palestinian embroidery.

Sumaya Hamed Duha

Has been working with the Inaash Al-Usra Society for over 30 years in the field of traditional Palestinian hand embroidery. She has been part of a network of craftswomen who have contributed to the Society’s continued production and the preservation of the quality of traditional embroidery. Drawing on her experience, she has facilitated the transfer of embroidery work from the Society to women in her village, providing them with employment opportunities and enabling them to contribute to the creation of these heritage pieces.

Sumaya is particularly passionate about embroidering shawls with traditional *Fallahi* (rural) motifs. She meticulously preserves the details and precision of traditional stitches, ensuring that every piece she creates serves as a continuation of the Inaash Al-Usra Society’s legacy of safeguarding Palestinian embroidery and supporting the craftswomen who carry this tradition across generations.
